IIT Hyderabad launches ANUGYAN

Why in News?
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, in collaboration with Crimson Energy Experts Pvt. Ltd. (CEEPL), has launched ANUGYAN – Nuclear Technology Orientation Programme (NTOP), India’s first industry–academia initiative to develop skilled professionals for the civil nuclear energy sector.

About ANUGYAN (NTOP)

• ANUGYAN (Nuclear Technology Orientation Programme) is a three-month, fully residential training programme.
• It aims to bridge the gap between academic education and industry requirements in the nuclear energy sector.
• The programme combines the academic expertise of IIT Hyderabad with practical training from nuclear industry professionals.
• The curriculum covers key areas of nuclear engineering, including reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, radiation shielding, Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), engineering design, nuclear safety, quality assurance, AERB regulatory compliance, and simulator-based training.
• The programme is designed to create a skilled workforce to support India’s expanding civil nuclear power programme and strengthen indigenous capabilities in advanced nuclear technologies.
