Kerala’s LIFE scheme crosses a milestone

Kerala Government is running LIFE ( Livelihood, Inclusion, Financial Empowerment) ) scheme to provide houses to the eligible beneficiaries.

The scheme is being implemented with the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) .

According to the state government, around two lakh families have been benefited with this scheme.

On the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) funds being used for around 63,000 of these houses, the State had contributed the larger share.

For PMAY-LIFE (rural), the Centre has provided ₹75,000 for each beneficiary, while the State pitched in with ₹3.25 lakh.

For PMAY-LIFE (urban), the Centre has provided ₹1.5 lakh, while the State contributed ₹2.5 lakh.
