Madhya Pradesh State Government has announced to set up a ‘gau cabinet’.
- The objective of this ‘Gau Cabinet’ to protect and promote cattle in the state.
- According to the State Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, animal husbandry, forest, panchayat and rural development, revenue, home and farmers welfare departments will be included in the cow cabinet.
- The first meeting will be held on November 22, 2020 on Gopashtami at the cow sanctuary in Agar Malwa.
- The chief minister was talking about India’s first cow sanctuary which was set up by the BJP-led Madhya Pradesh government in September 2017.
