- President on September 1, 2019 appointed 5 new governors in different states. These appointments are:
- Shri Kalraj Mishra, Governor of Himachal Pradesh is transferred and appointed as Governor of Rajasthan
- Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari as Governor of Maharashtra
- Shri Bandaru Dattatraya as Governor of Himachal Pradesh
- Shri Arif Mohammed Khan as Governor of Kerala
- Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan as Governor of Telangana
