The Ministry of Education has formed the National Steering Committee for the development of National Curriculum Frameworks on 21-9-2021.
- K Kasturirangan, former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from 1994 to 2003, will head this committee.
- Other members of the committee are; Mahesh Chandra Pant, Govind Prasad Sharma, Najma Akhtar, T V Kattimani, Michel Danino, Milind Kamble, Jagbir Singh, Manjul Bhargava, M K Sridhar, Dhir Jhingran and Shankar Maruwada.
- As per the perspectives of the NEP 2020, the Committee will develop four National Curriculum Frameworks- i.e., the National Curriculum Framework for School Education, National Curriculum for Early Childhood Care and Education, National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education and National Curriculum Framework for Adult Education.
