Why in News?
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has launched the Network Anubhav Platform, a geospatial and analytical dashboard that provides information on telecom network performance using user-generated test data and TRAI’s independent drive-test data.
Key Features
- Geospatial dashboard: Presents network performance data across geographical locations.
- User test data: Incorporates test results from TRAI’s MySpeed and MyCall applications.
- Network insights: Provides information on various network parameters to consumers, telecom service providers and TRAI.
- Spam reporting: Enables consumers to report unwanted commercial communications through a Do Not Disturb (DND) web interface.
- Internet speed testing: Allows users to test their internet connection speeds.
- Data integration: Displays aggregated results from TRAI applications, the web interface and independent drive tests.
- MySpeed SDK: Enables eligible third-party applications to integrate connectivity-measurement capabilities, expanding user participation and real-world network data collection.
