PM Modi conferred with the highest honours of Fiji and Papua New Guinea

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with the highest honour of Fiji, the Companion of the Order of Fiji by Sitiveni Rabuka, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji.

  • Papua New Guinea also conferred their highest award to PM Modi.
  • Papua New Guinea Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae bestowed the Companion of the order of Logohu to PM Modi.
  • PM Modi was awarded for championing the cause of unity of Pacific Island countries and spearheading the cause of Global South. Very few non-residents of the island nation have received this award.
  • Former recipients of this award include former US president Bill Clinton.
