Why in News?
The fifth edition of SEMICON India 2026 concluded at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, after being held from 17 to 19 September 2026 under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event, which highlighted India’s progress from semiconductor policy and project planning towards commercial semiconductor production.
About SEMICON India 2026
SEMICON India 2026 brought together more than 600 exhibitors, including around 300 international participants, representatives from 52 countries and more than 150 speakers. The event recorded 51,656 registrations and a cumulative footfall of approximately 40,000 participants.
The conference showcased different components of the semiconductor value chain through six Country Pavilions representing Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore and Sweden, along with 12 State Pavilions. It also featured a Startup Pavilion, Workforce Development Zone, Innovation Showcase and Student Hackathon.
