Vineet Agarwal-the Managing Director of logistics major Transport Corporation of India Limited (TCIL), has taken over as the new President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
- Aggarwal has replaced Niranjan Hiranandani, co-founder and Managing Director of Hiranandani Group of Companies.
- ASSOCHAM’s maiden conference was opened at the Royal Exchange, Calcutta, on January 8, 1920 and Lord Chelmsford inaugurated it with the Governor of Bengal, the Earl of Ronaldshay anon.
