Why in News?
The Ministry of Jal Shakti, in collaboration with Central and State Governments and various national and international stakeholders, is organising the 9th India International Water Week (IIWW) 2026 from 22–26 September 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The theme of the event is “Climate Resilient Water Management.”
About India International Water Week
The India International Water Week (IIWW) is an international platform that brings together policymakers, water experts, researchers, industry representatives, civil society, development partners and young professionals to discuss emerging challenges and solutions in the water sector.
The event facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experiences, showcasing of innovative technologies and practices, and strengthening of international cooperation in water management. The 2026 edition focuses on developing approaches for climate-resilient and sustainable water management.
