Falcon Heavy: World’s Most Powerful Rocket

-USA’s private space organisation, Space-X will launch ‘the world’s most powerful rocket’, ‘Falcon Heavy’ in January 2018. This rocket will be fired on Mars.

-The Falcon Heavy ‘megarocket’ will be fired from Kennedy Space Centre near Cape Canaveral, Florida. It will be launched from the same launchpad, from where Apollo 11 moon rocket was launched.

-It will be an unmanned mission.

-The rocket will use 27 Merlin engines and three separate re-usable cores that will return to Earth after liftoff during the test flight.

-This rocket will generate 5.1 million pounds of thrust through 27 Merlin engines.

-It will launch 140,000 pounds (63,500 kilogram) of cargo into orbit.

-This megarocket will also lift Tesla Roadster, an electric car.

-SpaceX is a private space company founded by Elon Musk in 2002.

-Its headquarters is in Hawthorne, California (USA).

-Its aims are, to reduce space transportation costs and the colonisation of Mars.

-Elon Musk, originally belongs to South Africa, is also the CEO of Tesla, an electric car manufacturing company.
