Govt expands list of eligible destinations under RELIEF Scheme

The Government of India has expanded the list of eligible destinations under the RELIEF (Resilience and Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation) initiative in response to the evolving geopolitical situation in West Asia.

According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Egypt and Jordan have now been added to the list of countries eligible for shipments under the RELIEF framework, including consignments meant for delivery or transhipment.

About RELIEF Initiative

Launched on March 19, 2026, RELIEF is a targeted policy intervention designed to support Indian exporters affected by disruptions arising from the West Asia conflict.

  • Provides logistical and financial support across the export cycle
  • Covers both:
    • Shipments already undertaken during the disruption period
    • Prospective exports facing uncertainty
  • Facilitates smoother delivery and transhipment of goods
