Guinness World Record for largest Bharatanatyam dance lesson

More than 5,000 Bharatanatyam dancers performed together, clinching the Guinness World Record for the largest Bharatanatyam dance lesson in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The event, organised by Sangamam Global Academy, India and Samgamizh Liya, Sri Lanka, was held at Galle Face Green in Colombo and brought together thousands of dancers from Sri Lanka, India and several other countries, in a celebration of the Indian classical dance and cultural heritage.

The event aimed to showcase the timeless tradition of Bharatanatyam while fostering cultural ties across borders.

Participants, dressed in vibrant traditional attire, performed synchronized movements under the guidance of guru as part of the official record attempt.

The Guinness World Records adjudication process was completed following the performance, after which the world record citation was formally presented.
