Judicial Infrastructure Advisory Committee

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant announced the formation of the Judicial Infrastructure Advisory Committee headed by Justice Aravind Kumar to prepare a roadmap for modernising courts across India and securing ₹40,000–50,000 crore in government funding.

The committee, comprising judges from the Calcutta, Punjab and Haryana, and Bombay High Courts, will identify infrastructural deficiencies, promote technology-driven justice delivery, strengthen the e-Courts Mission Mode Project, and recommend construction of modern court complexes.

The panel has been directed to submit its report and funding requirements to Sanjeev Sanyal by 31 August 2026.
