A total of 490 personnel from various States and Union Territories, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Central Police Organisations (CPOs) have been awarded the Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak for 2026, the Ministry of Home Affairs said on 31ST October 2026.
About Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak
Instituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs through a notification dated February 1, 2024, the medal is conferred on personnel serving in police forces, security organisations, intelligence wings, CAPFs, CPOs, the National Security Guard, Assam Rifles and forensic science establishments at the central and state levels.
The Ministry said the medal is announced every year on October 31, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.
