PAIMANA monitors 1,847 ongoing Central infrastructure projects as of June 2026

The Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is strengthening data-driven monitoring of infrastructure projects through PAIMANA, a web-based platform designed to improve transparency, efficiency and governance.

About PAIMANA

PAIMANA stands for Project Assessment, Infrastructure Monitoring and Analytics for Nation-Building.

The platform was launched on September 25, 2025, replacing the earlier Online Computerized Monitoring System (OCMS-2006).

PAIMANA monitors ongoing Central Sector infrastructure projects costing ₹150 crore and above.

On July 8, 2026, MoSPI launched the PAIMANA-CRIP module, replacing the Integrated Project Monitoring Portal (IPMP) of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

CRIP is envisaged as a Central Repository of Infrastructure Projects, creating a unified database of infrastructure projects across the country.

Data related to mechanisms such as PRAGATI and PM GatiShakti/PMG is also proposed to be sourced and updated through the PAIMANA-CRIP platform.

More than 20 Ministries, Departments and implementing agencies regularly update project information on PAIMANA-CRIP through direct data entry or API integration.

Over 60% of projects currently monitored through PAIMANA are updated automatically through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) connected to the Management Information Systems (MIS) or web platforms of respective Ministries and Departments.

The platform is expected to strengthen real-time monitoring, evidence-based decision-making, inter-ministerial coordination and timely identification of implementation bottlenecks in major infrastructure projects.
