Union Health Minister Launches eSushrut@clinic

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched e-Sushrut@Clinic on 29 June 2026.

  • e-Sushrut@Clinic is a lightweight Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing.
  • It is designed to provide a simple, affordable, cloud-based, and user-friendly digital solution for small outpatient clinics.

Coverage

  • The platform is proposed to be implemented in:
    • Government Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
    • Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs)
    • Sub-Centres
    • Private outpatient clinics
  • Currently, more than 800 health facilities have been onboarded on e-Sushrut@Clinic, generating over 680,000 digital health records.

  • Automates routine clinic operations, including:
    • Patient registration
    • Billing
    • Management Information System (MIS) reporting
    • Speech-to-text workflow
    • Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS)
  • Provides a cloud-based HMIS, reducing the need for expensive local IT infrastructure.
  • Offers a cost-effective digital healthcare solution for small healthcare facilities and clinics.
  • Helps improve:
    • Operational efficiency
    • Accuracy of medical records
    • Quality of patient care
    • Digital health adoption

About e-Sushrut

  • C-DAC is also implementing the full-featured e-Sushrut Hospital Management Information System in larger healthcare institutions.
  • The e-Sushrut software is being deployed in more than 15 All India Institute of Medical Sciences hospitals and several State Government hospitals across India.
